Karen has worked in the legal profession since 2015 within a large firm of solicitors. She began her career as an Executive Assistant before moving into a specialist costs environment, supporting senior members of the costs team. Karen previously held the role of Assistant Costs Draftsman, gaining experience in drafting bills and budgets and preparing Replies to Points of Dispute in Claimant/Receiving Party matters. She also has experience drafting bills for assessment in Court of Protection matters. Karen joined Phoenix in 2026 as a Costs Draftsman.
